Sharon,
We all so appreciate your tribute to Irma, which not only conveys a sense of the loss we all feel but also captures something of her spunk and humor. Debra Garner has also posted a memorial essay on her tribal arts blog. (A brief death notice has been posted in Albuquerque, and Irma would have been 96 next March). Your title is so apt-Irma's many, many friends do long to gather and celebrate her remarkable spirit and life. Perhaps we can organize something in the future. Its hard to imagine the world without her, but she will live on in many hearts.

I wish you a Happy New Year. So happy to hear that you and Chuck are doing well. I so enjoyed reading your blog. You are an amazing woman and Raton sure should appreciate you. We moved in 2009 after 6 years of living in Raton I needed to move back to Michigan. You hit the nail on the head Raton is a beautiful place to live, I tell people once you have been to Raton it haunts you and there is something that will always draw you back.
